Visited Aldi today at Ashington and in their reduced section there was a waterproof cycling jacket reduce from £20 to £7:50. and overshoes from £7:99 to £3:50. So picked up both and at the till was charge £6:50 for both together. That's what I call a genuine bargain.

Well might have too, except that I only had a hand basket.
They did have a good selection of baragin stuff, but I didn't realise at the time
I was poking through it just how cheap it was. We'd seen the gear the day before so just dropped in on our way back to the caravan from Blyth shore mid afternoon.

Yes we're there. Site's fine, but I'd not call it a CL, more like a basic facility commercial site. We've found plenty to do so far and there would be even more to see in the Spring and Summer, I guess. A dry or frozen ground would let us get some walking done from the site. Off to see Slag Alice, Seaton Delaval Hall & maybe Tynemouth Priory tomorrow, weather permitting.
