Visited Aldi today at Ashington and in their reduced section there was a waterproof cycling jacket reduce from £20 to £7:50. and overshoes from £7:99 to £3:50. So picked up both and at the till was charge £6:50 for both together. That's what I call a genuine bargain.Laughing

I am not sure if we are allowed to comment anymore on this thread, as apparently advertising, which this thread certainly does, is against T & C. However, in the meantime:-

We managed to get some of the blue toilet cleaner £5 for 2L very good value. Unfortunately they were right out of pink. Hope they get some more in.

Got myself some green loo fluid from Aldi last week as some sites have septic tanks and dont like formaldyhide. Also got a well made microfibre fleece for 5.99 which is perfect for summer nights with a chill in the air.

I have usually been pleased with items purchased at Aldi. However, this week I bought some of the heavy duty black streak remover and was not pleased. It was ineffective and removed polish on my motorhome.

I have informed customer services (who responded  by phone the following morning) and  I will be taking the spray back to the store for a refund.

Likewise - I bought the 12/240v TV and used it last week on a site we have been to previously and experienced perfect reception. Unfortunately the Aldi TV was useless - kept dropping the signal and pixelating all the time.  Was the same in a friend's van, so it wasn't a fault with the caravan aerial etc. Aldi were very good about it when I took it back and gave me a full refund without hesitation.

ALDI will have a compact plug-in electric towel rail, which looks quite stylish, and is just £19.99 - which I thought would be ideal for caravanning.  To my mind there is nothing worse than damp towels.  On rainy days when you can't dry them anywhere else, this could go in the shower compartment and produce nice fluffy dry towels again.

I saw that towek rail too however it appears to be floor standing only so probably takes too much space to use in most c/van bathrooms.

I need to convince Lunar that you should have a plug in the bathroom but otherwise a good idea for winter touring. The rail accross the top of the shower will have to do for now though.

I have a similar towel rail at home hard wired in a bathroom.  Works very well and came from Cooper's I think.
