It’s the ads that pay for the mag.

As for thin, I guess there aren’t a lot of outfits being reviewed or trips to write about at present🙄.

You can opt out of receiving it if you don't want it.

I think that they've missed another trick, and as usual had little regards for CLs. There's an article on touring in Cornwall and of the 7 sites listed only 1 was a CL, the others being club or AS sites. Normally with these articles there are at least 2 if not 3 CLs highlighted. I wonder why, out of 90 in the county, only 1 was chosen this time! Aren't any of the rest up to a high enough standard to be included?

Is there a membership price reduction for opting out of receiving the magazine?

Similar mags sold by W H Smiths seem to go for £3 per copy, probably more if delivered.

A reduction of some £40 per annum would seem quite reasonable, especially as it costs the CAMC nothing if the assertion that the advertising pay for it is accurate.

Better ask the club, LLM. Maybe you'll find out as a new member - when you join, of course.

Not when more if and a very big IF at that, but such a big reduction could just swing it wink.

I think it has been stated that opting out may reduce advertising income.

Logical if a large proportion of the membership was to do it.
