Why as a full member of the club, 15 years, am I not aloud to go to some C/L sites.

How can c/l sites discriminate against family's .c/s are sent up with the help of the club under a certificate held by the club for club members.

Robophobia.......fear of drones! I had to look that one up!

Most phobias are real but irrational, and with help and time, and a commitment to try and do something about it, can be made less stressful.

Not admitting children and dogs to certain sites is probably more to do with insurance claims, the cost of making somewhere safe and let's face it, a mistrust that said children and dogs will be adequately supervised at all times. Sad, but true. The overall happiness of the many, dictated by the few who let the side down.

All these phobias on site may explain a lot undecided.  No wonder they close the gates at night laughing.

But it is within the power of the CMC to easily correct the situation for cynophobics. As said earlier,--- make a few sites on the network "Dog Free"  leave the rest as they are. --- Sorted !!

I am a Cynophilist but have been 'without' for more than a decade. I recognise that the majority of fellow cynophilists amongst us are decent, responsible, rule abiding and utterly nice people. Why should the club introduce a rule which would ban these folk visiting some club sites of which they are members of.

As before, let the CLs and ASs cater for their chosen 'guests',

It's all about choice isn't it? Choice is a good thing we're often told. Those with any sort of phobia may choose not to use a particular site. That is completely different to being forbidden from using a site. I think the vast majority of us who remain members accept that. Non members, of course, are free to do whatever suits them! smile

Nah Micky, organisations should be open to helping those less fortunate. An all embracing culture is what is needed, catering for those with various challenges. smile

What may be stopping that introduction is that a few customers are suffering from Chronophobia  and want the world to remain fixed in the past. wink

I think you've 'argued' yourself  around to agree with me there K. smile

Not really Micky. We're close but not quite in agreement. --  I do like debating with you though. You are intelligent and polite. You always attack the post but never the poster. That's proper forum etiquette.

We use a lot of AO cl’s not because we don’t want children around but because they offer us what we want in a location we want to be in.

One, you've just reminded me that we did use an AO CL last year and very good it was too. We also chose it for location, high on the hills above Clitheroe with walks direct from the site and views across the valley to Pendle Hill. But it was on a working farm and I could understand completely the owner's decision to go AO. smile
