Why as a full member of the club, 15 years, am I not aloud to go to some C/L sites.

How can c/l sites discriminate against family's .c/s are sent up with the help of the club under a certificate held by the club for club members.

But Micky, the CMC sites are not at the moment available to all. People have different requirements.

Take the case of  people who suffer from cynophobia ( a very common Phobia )----The CMC doesn't cater for them. All that would be required is to have a number of dog free sites within the network where those unfortunate people could enjoy the pleasures of caravanning just like the rest of us.

One size does not fit all, never has , never will.

But we are discussing adult only sites, children and possibly dogs! Now if you want to discuss ensuring access to all disabilities, abilities, conditions, syndromes etc then the answer is you have a point, sites possible do not facilitate all needs but non at all are barred. On adult only sites children are 'barred' from staying! Your point may be centred on, in my opinion, making sites more accessible which is a different issue, very important mind but different! What's more, I reckon the club would do all it possibly could to support members specific 'special' needs on their sites wherever feasible and possible.

Unfortunately you have not quoted my full post which did indeed include the AO option. See previous page.

This is the whole post  :-  Quote

There are also many who would  welcome a few AO sites within the network.  I see no reason why the CMC cannot run a trial to see how popular or otherwise this option would be. Just for say a couple of seasons, a few sites could be designated AO. If successful the experiment could be extended,  if unsuccessful they could revert to what they are at the moment. The CMC have nothing to lose either way".

But those unfortunately afflicted with cynophobia are not 'barred' from sites by the 'rules', children at AO sites are. The issue of improving accessibility to sites is a different issue.

And spare a thought for those suffering from hylophobia! (I too can use Google wink). Where do they fit in? surprised

But it is within the power of the CMC to easily correct the situation for cynophobics. As said earlier,--- make a few sites on the network "Dog Free"  leave the rest as they are. --- Sorted !!

If they did though, and in my opinion they won't for the very good reasons already discussed, they may also to some degree be indirectly helping those afflicted by anthropophobia.
