Why as a full member of the club, 15 years, am I not aloud to go to some C/L sites.

How can c/l sites discriminate against family's .c/s are sent up with the help of the club under a certificate held by the club for club members.

It’s entirely up to the CL owner what conditions he/she applies to the use of the site. No dogs, no MHs, or whatever. Sometimes they say no children for safety reasons such as open water or farm activities.

Without AO CLs, there would be fewer within the CAMC fold but there are plenty of others to choose from. They enhance the choice without detracting from the mainstream sites for use by all.

You are allowed to go to all CL's, just not allowed to take your children!

Surely you wouldn't want them somewhere either not safe or not welcome

CLs may be adult only for any number of reasons; many are on working farms and insurance may play a part. Similarly the many where there is open water. I don't know the exact figures but I suspect the proportion of CLs which are adult only is fairly small. As for being set up with help from the club, talking to many owners, I'm not sure they quite see things that way!

CT is an interesting forum, isn't it? We get any number of requests for AO sites from some members and then complaints about sites which don't accept children! Fortunately, in my experience, there is enough variety to satisfy all. smile

They do enhance my choice and in many parts of country there is no C/l choice for families.

Why are you not railing against the club as they also have sites that do not allow children, albeit AS ones. I'd cancel my membership straight away if I were you.

Believe it or not but there are members out there that do not want to spend their time on sites with children, or with dogs, or on sites that do not provide electric hook ups etc.etc. Variety is the spice of life.

I find it hard to believe there are areas where the only CLs are AO, tbh.

Would you care to give some examples?

However, accepting that you are correct, without those AO sites there would be no CLs at all and none of us could stay. Therefore, AO Sites do at least provide pitches for many members use.

That does surprise me, though I must admit I haven't  actually done any research. Whereabouts?

We can all choose. I myself chose to stay away from Adult Only sites - I have a feeling I wouldn't like the mindset of the people who go there.

I don't blame farmers for making their CL Adults only.  When farm machinery is being used, livestock is being moved or crops are being stored the farmer does not want the responsibility of a child being injured or worse.  Not all parents are vigilant all the time.

I would suggest that a good rule of thumb would be CL's for couples and CMC full blown sites for families.
