PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

Good post Bugs, the same thoughts came to me as I read the posts prior to yours. This 'supposed' snagging list has crashed to the usual low rent thread that peppers CT.

The 'Snagging List' thread has everything in it but a 'List' ! Reading the sticky again reveals that the provision of a comprehensive list was the original intent.

Far from being a low-rent (?) contributor, my suggestion has merit. We should know which problems have been confirmed, whether a Software Change Request has been raised, has the work started, and the estimated completion date for embodiment of the software modification.

Quite so. How much better if we just leave the IT people to get on with their jobs.

Let's try demonstrating some patience. Whatever should or should not have happened, we are where we are so there's no point in carping.

The problem on here is that the barrack room IT gurus? who may have some knowledge of some websites, can only summise on the problems of this website which it seems was set up to be cost effective?,  and has not quite lived up to the hopes of whoever possibly bought it from one of the "professional" companies that say that the system can "adjusted" to fit?,Just look at the millions that have been spent on some of the gov websites that are still not working properly,

So instead of doing the usual by some, that happens on here, knock anything cc ,lets give the small IT team a chance to sort it

I both agree and disagree with you TW. Certainly I can see no need for a comprehensive spreadsheet. However, a simple read only web page listing the known problems they are working on would be valuable. This could then be consulted before listing problems, possibly multiple times on a thread like this, when the CC is already aware of them.

There may after all be issues out there the CC are still unaware of. It would be much better if this thread could just list those. However, at the moment without trawling through 31 pages there is no way of knowing what has been highlighted.

Back to snags.wink

I have been trying to locate rallies by date but the search seems to be sticking on October.

The only thing I have a problem with is the time you stay logged in , I have CT running in the background and have to keep logging in during the day  , but I am demonstrating patience with this smilecool

Added to that the fact that login takes us to our profile is far from ideal. Back to where we came from is much better - as it was in 'the good old days'.

In fairness HD that is not a new issue, it was the same on the old forum/website. The Club seems unmoved on that issue and has been for 5 years despite the many requests for the time to be extended. Their view is that to allow  a longer logged in time risks possible security problems, especially on workplace computers where other people could have access. Even if the risk is quite small I expect the Club is being a bit belt and braces on this issue, not altogether sure I can blame them as it only takes one incident for it to blow up in their face.
