PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

This thread is not for discussions. Post ONLY factual information.

To provide a comprehensive list of problems encountered, I would suggest that each post lists only one issue at a time.

Provide details of problem  as concisely as possible.

Operating system, machine used and relevant software. i.e. Macbook/ PC/tablet, Windows XP/ iOS7 etc, Safari/Internet Explorer/Chrome inc version No.

Please do not enter into discussions such as "I've had/not had this problem" as this will detract from the objectivity of the thread. Hopefully this thread may assist the IT department in finding where "all the bodies are buried".

PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING.

I know my posts won't satisfy everyone on these forums but I'm just trying to share what I can with you, be as transparent as possible and reiterate how seriously we are taking the current issues.

Hi Justin

I suspect you are not wrong there!!! But many thanks for putting your head above the above the parapet and explaining the issues involved which clearly some of us do appreciate. I hope you will continue to enlighten us from time to time as it saves any of us guessing what the problem is.

Thanks

David

You're welcome David.

In my role at the Club, I don't often have time to read through the forums/respond to comments. Neither is it my responsibility. My role is to manage the internal Service Desk, with my team supporting the head office staff and sites network staff at desktop application level.

As stated previously, I get involved with website issues in an incident management capacity,  rather than supplying technical fixes. I'll try to chip in with any updates I can provide under such circumstances, as I've done in the past, but day to day website performance issues or bugs are usually picked up from comments in here by the likes of Rowena and then passed on to the relevant technical teams.

I'll keep checking in on this thread until the current issues are resolved... But for now it's bedtime for me 😴

Justin

And using part of a post was only 1 point in my list.

What about about how slow it is? Compared with other forums I use (1 is run from a member's box room) there's no denying how slow it is

MM - I was just answering one part of your post so I decided not to quote the whole thing and show you that what you said wasn't possible actually was. (I thought you didn't want the whole lot quoted,  that was the point of your comment wasn't it?)

As for your other points, I haven't noticed CT (when working properly! wink) to be particularly slow?

I agree about the search function and also that a PM system is long overdue.

@ moulesy ....  I haven't noticed CT (when working properly! wink) to be particularly slow?

so we'll never know how fast it should be then as it's never worked properly from the start!

(PS the wink never made the copy & paste) πŸ™„

I didn't say impossible! But they need to be resized ...blah blah blah Who takes a picture less than 500 wotsit bits?

I've had a couple of goes but gave up & haven't tried since

Other forums it's a simple case of pasting the image URL & enclosing it in image tags .... done!

Resizing is easy…  I resized the one above in seconds.

but resizing shouldn't be necessary .... it's not anywhere else.

So it's seconds to resize ... seconds to add names to parts of an edited post ....
