Hi all,

I've started a new discussion for the server errors as the previous one went off topic at times.

We apologise that you have been experiencing these. Please can you report these in this discussion and I will monitor to forward to the IT team.

Many thanks.

One of my usual non internal server errors

This site can’t be reached

www.caravanclub.co.uk took too long to respond.

But this is a new one to me

This site can’t be reached

The web page at https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/welcome-hobby-talk/how-to-use-club-together/server-errors/?er=P779432#P779432 might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Thought I'd have a catch up and cuppa, cuppa long gone but catch just beginning.........

Still no response from anyone 😕

OH, so utterly appalling today !

Typical of this site that I have just done my accounts  and notice that CAMC has taken my Club Membership Fees { By Direct Debit of course yell } I think I must now  cancel further extractions, or should I wait a while then take action for Robbery with malice afore thought.

The whole website, not just CT was down this afternoon, and Sites are not taking calls, although after listening to a 5 minute message, you might get a call back if they have time. I have no gripe with Site staff, they will be doing their best.

I've NEVER had a problem with On Site Staff, not even JK wink but as for the on-line team, excluding named Moderators of course,   I've only had good results Face To Face I'm sad to say.

The performance and functionality of CT is appalling. The fact that it has not improved after all this time is a disgrace. Perhaps we should all cancel our direct debits until somebody pulls their finger out and fixes it!

What's just as bad is that no-one from HO has bothered their tired old pencils to come on here and both apologise and give an understandable explanation why the site is so slow and reasons for the error messages.

Morning

It’s only taken 6 attempts to get on this thread this morning! I’m glad I start back to work next Monday, plenty to focus on getting the site ready to open on 31st😎, won’t have time for server errors☹️

I just don't understand how this situation has been allowed to persist for so long? Surely the Club are aware of how dire the performance of Club Together is? Its taken 10/15 minutes to get into this thread and read the replies. If these problems are due to the new booking system why not say so? If the Club are serious about having a members forum then it needs to be moved to its own platform. I have been a long time member of several other forums and I don't even need the fingers on one hand to count the number of times they have experienced problems in the past ten years!

David

PS Edit

Since posting this I have been able to go through the forum without an issue which is frustrating in itself because it is so inconsistent.

Am 100 pct agreement, currently i give this forum one shot per day if i get those constant errors i give up, tried this morning whilst waiting for washer to finish and here I am.

Unfortunately i feel that if we all cancelled our direct debits it would have very little impact on club revenues, if you check this forum the majority of users are old coddgers who have been on here since time began, and tend to use the much more cost effective CL network rather than the overpriced club sites.

I think most of the newbies, or younger generation are on FB where I am told the club are much more responsive

Reading the posts, especially the recent ones it isn't just CT.

See takethedogalongs post above from 1934 yesterday. It was the whole site and the phone situation appears as dire - if that is possible?

Certainly not a good shop window for a multi-million leisure industry company....

Edit rufus maybe the responses on Facebook are because it's not their own system and works very efficiently?? Sad state of affairs if it is  and Facebook isn't like a forum. Maybe you can book sites via fb? And the intention is to let this website whither on the vine?
