I visit 3 other caravan forums, read alot and post infrequent where I think I can add value. I have been a member of this forum from nealy the start but in the past 6/12 month it has become quite a nasty forum at times

I must say the sniping on this forum between posters is probably the worst I have come across, and in the real world would be classed as bullying in some instances.

I dont know how the site is moderated but it does seam that people can get away with alot of atacking and post drift because of these personal atacks and sniping. It also will put alot of people from posting for fear of getting the same treatment off the same people.

I only read and contribute the the threads that I am interested in and like and I don't bother with the others.  As well as the argumentative few here are also some very nice, friendly people on here.  I just ignore the others.

+1.  Perhaps that's why I haven't got to the 4 or 5 purple stars, and won't get there during my lifetime Winking

I find these sort of comments rather strange. Just like the complaints about Twitter and Facebook, or bad TV programmes. All these sites / devices have an off button.

It wasnt so much a complaint but a comment based on my experience of the site, i find it sad when threads get lost in bickering, why should I switch off, if I see a thread im interested in ill start to read then all of a sudden off it goes kicking off, thats when I go off to something else but it looses the thread which may have been very informative.

I dont do face book or twitter, never have never will

Ultimately none of us are responsible for the forum (although what we contribute can affect the general appearance and enjoyment of it) so the "off" button is the only way out sometimes. I really hope the new web site will bring improvements all round.

Don't use the off button ,that is a result for the the clique. Milly has the answer just skip the posts of the "You know who"

There are only a few of them and they are easy to recognise .

They won't stop but if they are just repeating the same old stuff between themselves they may eventually get frustrated.

Make up your own avatar for your particular favorites. They won't be flattering but it makes them more fun to recognise

One lady who has irritated me would certainly sue if she saw her new avatar.

What on earth has some unfortunate female done that's irritated you, Bob? Do tell!  Cool

I'm not sure I can see the point of assigning avatar pics for your own amusement but, if it keeps you happy, why not?Happy

I didn't know one could do that. Just wonder what's the point.
