Non-members on CLs

No names (just yet...).

On a CL (which has recently changed hands) the other week when a single guy in VW T5 home conversion turns up late at night and is away again 6am the next morning.  When speaking to the CL owner the next morning I said I was surprised to see he'd let someone stay in a van with no toilet (given that the CL has no toilets).  He seemed a little vague as to whether the person was a club member (I suspect he wasn't).

Is either issue acceptable?  Certainly I think the no toilet issue is a complete no no and I'm not over the moon about letting non members in just out of greed (well what other reason is there?).

Andy

No counting at all, it’s called a sense of what is right & wrong, your deflecting will never change your ill will to C&MC. It isn’t your ultimate travel plans that will be ruined if the C&MC loses the ability to license CL’s, many others including me love the CL experience. What you are doing is grossly unfair.

Why didn't you pull up Jill for her similar assessment of the situation....?wink

We haven't reported it as yet as we are booked in for one night on the way ome next week.

Looks pretty much to me and others  that you had decided to report it after your next visit but you are back tracking now.

That's me out now .

Well done, you lasted 70 minutes this time.😄

Why do you consistently attack the OP who is debating whether to report a CL owner? He clearly should if the terms of his certification are thought to have been breached as that is what the club has requested. You have attempted to turn him from that course and even called his actions backstabbing.

Truthfully, your posts are shameful, David, and not worthy of credence. I'd not be surprised if they've been brought to Ro's attention.

Has she attacked 3 times?. . ., please don’t try to lessen the bad deed🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s not a Robin Hood thing-this is taking from the good to give to the bad.

This is the 3rd time you have attacked the OP 3bd for struggling with right or wrong, the C&MC line is to report yet here you are trying your best to push him to ignore T&C’s. What you do is one thing but pushing someone else is beyond sensible particularly so on the C&MC forum.

I don't s that there is anything to report. The OP does not know whether the camper van that arrived late and left early is a member or not.

As for whether the outfit had a toilet on board is irrelevant but I suspect it had

The doubt over membership is all that is needed to make the report and the club will then investigate. They don't expect members to turn into Sherlock😄

Good to see you are counting, doing the same for your chums I assume.

Posted on 17/10/2021 09:29

rather than attack the poster and use the 'chums' approach (which you use very often in a useless attempt to deflect or discredit) why not argue your point rationally?

This possible breach of conditions has now been posted in two threads in as many weeks. A single isolated incident probably won't cause any problems but if they gather momentum then it will be perceived as a problem (in the same way that people think caravans cause queues) and the CL system could possibly collapse. It won't affect you as you like to use only club sites (and why not) but others will be.

My travel plans do include use of CLs as I unlike you I actually own a  caravan and use them.

Posted on 17/10/2021 09:30

Future travel plans? Really when was the last time you used a CL? It's been all club sites for this year when you could have used them?

It was noted in the OP that this CL has recently changed hands,

Do the cc know? which I would think may well involve/ a visit/callt to the new owner by an Inspector to see if they understand what is required to safeguard their certificate
