Leaving late on a Sunday

Now that the caravan club has had a revamp, do they still require people to leave their sites at 12pm on a Sunday ?

As someone who works during the week I want to be able to use a caravan site all Weekend, and leave at say 4pm on a sunday.

I appreciate the sites need to make room for new people arriving, and I can see this being especially important on a Friday and Saturday, but its a real inconvenience for us weekenders ( so much so I'm no longer a member).

I'm sure this suits retired people, but I assume the revamp is to get some new blood in, and that will mean weekend only stayers. Has anything change d in this area.

(If not what do weekend caravans do, just use private sites?)

As a later dep is covered in the rules and openly encouraged in most site handouts then this thread as most understand ran its course on page onecool

Yes but that would be dishonest if there are more people than one adult in the caravan.

When I go for a week on site I usually like to travel to site on a Sunday, much quieter on the roads etc. If as you require, you keep the pitch all day, what are 'us weekers' supposed to do, sit outside the site until it is convenient for you to go? As mentioned earlier, you can always pay for the Sunday night and then leave when you want, it's your choice.

Simple. If they keep the pitch all day it will be because they have booked it. If you have a booking there will be room!

Sunday Departures 2(The return). . . .Welcome back old friendlaughing

its good to see the original cast is here with their original scripts too. I'll sit back & see if it pans out any differently.

Personally I think that this is a rare event in that the remake is actually better than the original production.

If I want to stay later on a Sunday I just go to the office on the Sunday morning and ask.  Generally my request is granted.  One site however that we use frequently the warden told me no as it was an insurance issue, so I left and never bothered asking again.  One of the big advantages since we changed to a motorhome is that when we leave site we don't have to go home, we generally find a local attraction to visit.  Not so easy with a caravan in tow.

I reckon the ending will still be the same, Rocky. No matter how many times you watch it on catch-up, it's always the same. wink
