Arrival times

just booked a few weeks at the blackpool south club site .But it now seems that they have altered the arrival time from 12 to 1 o-clock I can go along with that as its a very narrow lane outside so no room to queue with out causeing a traffic jam . My gripe (complaint) is that sites don,t enforce the leave time we have seen people in caravans leaving at 4pm at blackpool and believe it or not 2 leaving southport site at 6.30pm (caravans) you can,t tell if motorhomes are leaving or just nipping out so come on club sites lets have some rules everybody has to stick to in fairness to all members.

Irrespective of one's theological leanings, the Ten Commandments do tend to facilitate an harmonious society. I can't imagine that thieving, infidelity and murder are considered beneficial characteristics by anyone.

I know nothing  about  WTD but if it gives some  degree  of protection  for people  not blessed  with the  type of employment we both enjoyed then I am all for it  If the sites cannot  deliver good customer  services due to restrictions it places  on them  then the obvious conclusion  is surely get more  staff

I am more than happy with the present level of staff cover David.

When I worked 11hr days were quite frequent with maybe occasional Saturdays.

However I got my time back as increased holidays.

I am not sure that 'You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor' is really essential mind.

So did I Allan and not just occasional but regular Saturdays and Sundays but we were in professional positions with the perks that came along with that, the people I am thinking need protection are at the other end of the employment ladder, not sure that it includes club wardens but the principle is the same, if the allowed hours are not enough then there needs more staff..

The hours that sites and staffing levels were "allocated" when the WTD was implemented, was a direct result of a "survey" by yet again "consultants" as I understand the site staff themselves were quite willing to continue as before ,to give the service that they took as part of the job ,but were then "advised?"that there was no problem in doing so by opting out of the 48hr STD but would not be remunerated for any hours over and above what they were"contracted" to coverundecided

If you have to pay for an extra night to stay late so be it its within the rules and to say its people with deep pockets is stupid its what you have to do.

You can of course stay slightly later if site circumstances allow free of charge, 4pm max I think. You just need to enquire of those that know the situation and if this is possible on the day of departure. And of course accept the call made!

Actually, coveting your neighbour's house is quite on topic if you think about it.........all that racing to Site is about getting the perfect pitch, and then grumbling about it if others get there before you! And howling "unfair" if the (sensible) Wardens are thought to be in collusion!laughingsurprisedwink
