The female Peregrine at Malham Cove last weekend. Due to the distance and the scrub around the nest very difficult to focus. Great views of this magnificent bird through bino's and scope. You won't get a view like this from the bottom of the Cove.

Pallid Harrier at Whitendale this morning. Wow, what a bird! Entertaining the large crowd with an amazing display of sky dancing, doing reps up and down the valley.
Good luck to the bird, Bowland is not harrier friendly, the game keepers there have a well earned dreadful reputation.
Also had good views of 2 pied flycatchers on the walk back down to Dunsop Bridge.
Will try to add a photo, taken by a pal of mine last Wednesday.

Posted on 07/05/2017 18:16 by OneputtGreat photo Pliers. There's really good film on Surfbirds (Northwest) of the harrier in flight. Must say that the Harrier in Lancs looks a lot paler than the one in Norfolk last year.
