How's your footy team doing?

I'm starting this thread again because it seems to have been a casualty of the change over to the new site. The Terriers scecured another away win last night at Burton. Two wins in a row now after a barren spell. It'll all go pear shaped on Friday when we go to Norwich because the game is to be televised , we haven't won on the telly for ages.

Liked  the  comment  from  the  Chief  of  Terriers  that  David  Wagner  left  by  mutual  agreement  and  should  take  a  complete  break  from  football.  It  seems  as  though  the  Club does  care  about  him  unlike  most  other  clubs.

Attn  David  Klyne  !!

Apologies  if  Crewe  spoiled  your  week-end,  David  but  it  should  spur  M K on  to  drag  themselves  back  into  Winning  Ways  innocent.

{ P.S.  Thanks  for  the  points,  all  three ( 3 ) of  'em  wink  }

Not very often that all 3 of your local teams win Brian?! (what odds at the bookies eh?)

On a more serious note, Stanley suffered another defeat and are now at the wrong end of the table. Maybe promotion was a step too far the countries' smallest league club? frown

Beware the Terriers on Sunday Pliers. It's unlikely but we could have a bit of new manager bounce . On a more serious note I'm gutted that David Wagner has decided to take a break from football.

I'm absolutely sure that the final straw was the awful refereeing decision at Cardiff on Saturday. We've had so many bad decisions go against us so far this season that it's no surprise that he thought enough is enough.

He leaves with the very best wishes of Town supporters for the best three years I can remember in over 60 years of watching my team.

Enjoyed the game today. Thought Town played well, just need a striker and a bit of luck.

And what a splendid rendition of the "Empty seats" song from our fans. No one does self mocking as well as City fans, come to think of it, no other set of fans do self mocking at all.....or do they?

Only  a  small  chance  of  bookies  offering  better  odds  on  your  suggestion  than  on  the  Sun  rising  in  the  South West,  JR  cool  But  please  remember  what  young  Rog  regularly  says  :--  Keep  The  Faith  !!

One  thing  spoils  the  result  tho'  David  Artell,  Crewe's  Manager  MUST  learn  to  control  himself  --  Four ( 4 )  bookings  already  this  season,  two  more  &  Elton  John  will  be  asking  who  his  publicity  man  is  and  has  he  a  vacancy wink !!

Thanks for the kind words Pliers. I agree I thought we played ok. I was a bit apprehensive when I saw the team sheet but he'd obviously gone for pace up front .

I know City didn't even get out of second gear but the first goal was a "wicked" deflection and the second goal was just offside, so if we had a good striker we could have run you close.

I enjoyed that bit of play when we had some good possession and every pass was cheered. We have to find something to cheer๐Ÿค—

It looks like we've raided Dortmund's coaching staff again rumour has it that we're appointing Jan Sievert this afternoon

I wonder if Pep will put out a decent side against Burton tonight? Respect to Burton, but I hope he sends out his kids team (who are probably good enough to hang on to a 9-0 lead) with just a handful of his 'superstars?' Burton to win on penalties anyone? ๐Ÿ˜€

I watched the game last night and it seemed to be half and half. Aguero,    Mahrez and De Bruyne plus Delph and Danilo with a few very talented youngsters thrown in.

I agree respect to Burton I thought they played really well.

Our lot have gone off to Portugal today with the new head coach and his new assistant. Let's hope history repeats itself, when they got back from their last jolly they got one of their two wins, at Molineux
