How's your footy team doing?

I'm starting this thread again because it seems to have been a casualty of the change over to the new site. The Terriers scecured another away win last night at Burton. Two wins in a row now after a barren spell. It'll all go pear shaped on Friday when we go to Norwich because the game is to be televised , we haven't won on the telly for ages.

Congratulations to you Seagulls fans. Chris Hughton derserves this and given the recent history of the club and it's fight from near extinction it's a great story.

Mind you a lucky deflected late goal by the Rams against the Terriers no doubt helped you to get promotion early.😇

Yes, well done and well deserved Seagulls!

Hope to get to the away match there next season, maybe Malcolm can recommend a club site nearby and we can make a short break of it. Probably turn out to be the middle of January......

A double celebration today. The Terriers won a hard fought game with a goal deep into time added on, and my grandson won a signed football. We go to the training complex before matches for something to eat and so he can experience the Fanzone. He usually plays a reaction game called Batak and today the ball was a prize. I got a text just before kickoff telling me that he had the highest score and ball signed by the squad was waiting for us at reception. In football parlance he was "over the moon"😀⚽️⚽️

Your grandson must have been absolutely thrilled to bits, well done!

And Town, nearly there.........

He was Pliers. He kept saying "things like this don't happen to me"

all the way home from the match he was nursing the ball trying to decipher the various autographs. Some players had included their squad numbers which made those easy .

yes Town nearly secure in the playoffs just need a few more points to be sure. A tough game coming up on Saturday, Fulham at the John Smiths, they thrashed us 5-0 at Craven Cottage earlier in the season, and of course they're also trying to cement a playoff place.UTT

I  think  Crewe  are  safe  now,  hope  so  'cos  I  won't  get  much  in  the  way  of  news  reports  oop  in  t'  Highlands,  so  I'll  have  to  rely  on  Steam Radio  I  guess.

And  those  of  you  fighting  for  promotion,  Play-offs  or  just  plain  old  safety  may  I  wish  you  good  hunting

A crowd of us Seagulls fans down my local really really celebrated Derby's late goal !

I've a soft spot for the Terriers (a romantic connection - ex girlfriend in Slaithwaite), they've fought hard this season. Very much in contention for a play-off place but some fairly tough games coming up - Fulham, Wolves, Birmingham, Cardiff, all of which could spring surprises.

Good Luck!

What can I say Brian ? It's Fulham they've had the evil eye on us this season 9-1 on aggregate. I'm worried that the playoffs look dodgy now. We've a game in hand but it's away at Wolves who are on something of a revival . On the bright side, Leeds and Reading both lost but the Wendies have leapfrogged into third place we're now in fifth. It's all getting very tight. I guess I'll just have to believe. Whatever happens it has been a brilliant season for us, we'd usually be fighting to avoid relegation .

The Alex are safe now but it's a sad state of affairs for the Os.

Have a good tour of the Highlands don't let the beasties bite.

As  you  say  so  very  sad  for  O's  --  looks  like  they  might  not  last  til  Spring  Bank  Holiday  unless  a  miracle  occurs,  but  have  to  say  "Welcome  Back"  to  Lincoln  smile

Keep  Believing  !!wink
