OH is very disappointed as he wasnt given a badge when he had his covid jab like all those people that were interviewed on TV 😁

The Cathedral has decided today that there will be no communal worship until the situation improves. Online services only. Also it will only be open for private prayer for 2 hours a day 12.00 - 2.00 so I shall only go in once a fortnight. It is disappointing but understandable as they want to keep everyone as safe as possible while being accessible for those who need it. A very difficult balancing act.

I am a bit worried as after reading the criticism of Boris after he travelled 7 miles for a bike ride I checked on google maps to see how far we are from Ferry Meadows and it is 6.7 miles. We have tried to be good these last few months and in the main have only gone there for walks and not travelled more than 10 miles to go for a walk. We decided to go yesterday though and had a really good walk in a quieter area away from the main busy walks and felt so much better for getting out. I hope we can continue to do so.

Good news on the scaffolding front tda!!

Surely you remember these JBV. Not sure how it would help run a church service though

Whooo.........exciting here. Major power cut across town. Big area out, just hope hospital is ok. So it’s plenty of candles out, thank heavens for stove, warmth and light. Remembered the old trick of putting candles in front of mirrors, works a treat!😁

Ee bah gum, it’s just like 1970’s ‘ere. No pack of cards though, and tethered to iphone😂

Well a lovely cold but sunny day and the first ride of the year and feel so much better for being out. This is King Coal (3.45 miles from home)

Cycled past it when up your way in September. Think you were on a fell somewhere.

Nice memory, probably for both of us.smile

Made an executive decision tonight. Ooohhh, haven't made, or been allowed to make, one of those since retirement.smile

Left the house at about 6.30, drove to Tesco Extra, which has a small M&S nearby and an Aldi. Mrs WN did Marks, I did Tesco and we both did Aldi for some small specialist items. Must have seen less than 20 shoppers in total. Woo Hoo, as ABM might say. Decided as it was so quiet to overstock so both freezers now full. Back home 90 minutes later.

All cleaned and sanitised, as is the shopping. Glass of red to hand. Trying to steer clear of families in shops so thought that the time might help.

Just as an aside, Mrs WN reports that the demisting cloth bought recently from her opticians works great at keeping glasses clear. It's from Hoya and called Clear-it (Anti fog wipes). Just less than a £5 and lasts 2 months at least.

Is there anything in place to celebrate K of A this year Millie? If it’s something online  would love the details👍
