WN, please say happy birthday to Mrs WN.

Its our Wedding Anniversary today 49 years, how did that happen. Big one next year so we had better be rid of this Covid by then.

Great news this afternoon, OHs Mum has been given the jab. My niece who is a doctors receptionist gets hers next week so does her son also key worker. Read on the Tayside FB page lots starting to be called for their jabs, not heard anyone from the village getting theirs yet but at least we now know they have vaccine in Perth.smile

We are in group 5 so don't expect ours until March providing supplies are still being delivered.

Walls all painted now, tomorrow its the gloss work. That's my job,  OH does the walls with help from doing the fiddly bits and cleaning up of course.

I'm the guilty one when it comes to reading out bits from papers or online posts, OH is a master at the "uh huh" he's also selective deaf laughing then says I didn't tell him.

So another vaccine been approved, Moderna this time, supposed to the most expensive one. Won't get supplies until Spring though.

Well done nellie on getting your covid jab so soon.  I am in the same age group as you and your OH but haven't heard anything at all yet.In fact I haven't heard of anyone else in our age group getting it.  I know of a number of over 80s in our area who haven't had it yet so I am not holding my breath.

We cleared out our bathroom and shower room cabinets today and sorted out all the medicines and found quite a few that were either out of date or not longer needed so as I was going to pick up a prescription this afternoon I took them all with me for them to dispose of.  On my journey to and from the chemist - not many miles - I saw 5 emergency ambulances out on the road.  It is not looking good.

OH has a habit of saying ' are you listening' in a loud voice if I am either on the internet or reading. 'No I am not - I am reading!' Also when watching the news he will be commenting on the last piece of news as I am trying to listen to the next undecided

Bitterly cold, grey day here today.  There was a hard frost yesterday evening when I went out to the bin at 6.00pm and it hasn't gone anywhere today.

We had to go out this afternoon for my pills, and a congratulations card and gift for a new baby, so DD asked us to bring her some Raspberry Leaf tea (apparently good in late pregnancy), plus a few items from our loft.......her dolls pram and pushchair........so they can show Callum how to be gentle with little brother!

Found lots of her toys still up there, but we were not allowed to bring them all, unfortunately!

Very cold again, more snow too overnight, but at least it has been sunny.  We brought home the end of the free cot bed she got, which is a bit damaged, to see what I can do with it, then she plans to sand it all down and re-finish.

She does not work Friday afternoons, so was up a ladder painting the new cornice when we arrived  .   😮    Quick drop off and pick up and we were home again before 15.00.

Hi TG

We took part in the ONS survey some months ago now. We only volunteered for the 5 week option as we thought we would have been off to Spain after that , some hopefrown

They didn't strike us as terribly organised we had  differing versions of what was going to happen each time.. We were swabbed 5 times and had blood taken twice. We, were told to expect further visits that never transpired and as you probably know there is a payment for each visit £50 for the first and £25 thereafter, I got mine but OH had only 2 even after chasing them

The chap that came  did say things are a bit haphazard, some getting done every week while others have had gaps between visits. Not always the same person either. To be honest we had forgotten all about volunteering.

Didn't know about getting paid for it, theres nothing in the paperwork.

NTH, glad the little op went well and you will get your jab shortly. As Kj said your practice is early and well organise. We are hearing about some over 80s that are being done now so that is good news.

We have just been watching on BBC News a piece about the Marine and Spurs match on Sunday. Apparently Marine's ground is surrouned by houses and their gardens. They reported that there are notices up with numbers to ring when the ball goes into one of the gardens. Brilliant! That gave us the best laugh we have had for ages 🤣.

Happy birthday to Mrs WN.

Milliehull that made us chuckle too. Unhappy about football continuing, if a player gets injured don't they need NHS??
