Woke to  a sprinkling of snow, very cold overnight again and freezing all day today. Cars and caravan have not defrosted for days. Nice blue skies again.

More decorating today, plastering and ceiling done, first coat of paint on all walls and second coat on 2 of them.

Got a phone call last night to say someone would be with us today to do our swabs, thought at first it was a wrong number, then remembered that months ago we volunteered to take part in the ONS Covid 19 survey. Bit of paperwork to start with then swabs handed over and done. All pretty straightforward, to be repeated every week for the next 5 weeks then once a month.

We were watching the goings on in USA last night and this morning. OH thinks he should be arrested for inciting a riot. I have always thought him to be a bully and on the verge of madness.

MH, Good to hear your OH has had his second vaccine. According to Boris all over 70s and vulnerable folk should receive their first one by mid Feb. We have been told that half of the care homes in Scotland have been done and a good number of care staff and NHS staff.

Still no info as to what's happening with our village GP, not sure if they are taking part or if joining up with another practice.

The village hall is perfect for it as it has 2 entrances and plenty of space for folk to sit and wait. Much bigger than surgery. We also have village pharmacy but its very small so they wouldn't be suitable. We've had a letter and booklet from NHS to inform us of what to expect but that's it.

According to Nicola today, they hope to complete the care homes in the next 4 weeks then move on to the general public. I can't see us getting it before Easter.

Strange that all areas seem to be seeing lots of cars on the roads still. It certainly doesn't feel like a lockdown, just like tier 3.

Being caught typing something on here whilst appearing to be listening is a capital offence....smile

Saying 'Yes when it should have been No, or vice versa' is a hospitalisation offence, far more dangerous than Covid laughing.

I though that was just me - thank you

My OH thinks that I listen with my eyes as apparently as if I'm not looking in her general direction I can't be listening.

I just stuff some cotton wool in my ears, tell her that I've put olive oil in and bingo, ready made excuse. wink

She has started to throw small things at me, like open penknives etc. just to attract my attention.surprised

Oh🤣🤣🤣🤣 I cant wait to show this thread to my OH. I have been found guilty so many times of not listening.

Does anyone’s OH read out news articles to them as well, when they know you are reading the same article?😂

Off soon to make a special birthday lunch for Mrs WN. She's not going to eat it as it's smoked salmon and Serrano toasties but no reason why I can't celebrate it, is there? Peanut Butter on Crackers for OH. Yuk.

Quite a snowfall this morning. News of accidents on the local A55. Van stuck skidding in the village when I walked up for the paper. 2 of us socially distanced at the back got it moving so that's my exercise done for the day.

Ttda. Put a banner up in large letters on the Scaffolding.

"XYZ Scaffolders are absolute rubbish. Never, Ever Hire them"

PLEASE be careful because people are going crazy from being locked down at home!🤪🤣
I was just talking about this with the microwave and the toaster while drinking my tea, and we all agreed that things are getting bad.
I didn’t mention any of this to the washing machine, because she puts a different spin on EVERYTHING!! Certainly couldn’t share with the fridge, cause he’s been acting cold and distant!
In the end, the iron straightened me out! She said the situation isn’t all that pressing and all the wrinkles will eventually be smoothed out!
The vacuum, however, was very unsympathetic…told me to just suck it up! But the fan was VERY optimistic and gave me hope that it will soon blow over.
The toilet looked a bit flushed but didn’t say anything when I asked its opinion, but the front door said I was becoming unhinged and the doorknob told me to get a grip!! You can just about guess what the curtains told me: they told me to “pull myself together!”
We will survive!!
😂😀😷😘💖😎🤗

Crossed my mind. Still waiting.

Dog walk for me next. Brave our local park, hoping that the damp weather will keep the sunshine only exercise types indoors. Those that are incapable of walking without taking up the whole ruddy path.

I am thinking of getting some Ben Hur style scythe wheels for the pooch’s chariot........ and a little voice recording....”beep, beep, this dog is reversing.....beep, beep, this dog is reversing....”
