Returned form a wonderful Christmas break at Castleton

Glad you had a good time at Castleton, H&T. How were the X-Mas lights? Did you manage to get some good walks in upon the hills?

The lights in Castleton were lovely,  did some reasonable walks, weather very misty so views were limited. Enjoyed the open fires and a mulled wine in the pub afterwards too.smile

I had to wait about 10 minutes for my last post to load from my samsung tablet. Something is very wrong with this site.

Same here Millie,  it takes ages to post now. Great photos though Millie,  haven't got around to trying to post photos yet, not feeling well enough, brain to fuzzy.

So sorry you are feeling so poorly Helen. Definitely not what you need this week. Hope you feel better soon.

I've seen that programme before Millie but enjoyed watching it again, the schedules are changing for Christmas, hope some of it will be as watchable. Your photos have come out well it's taking everyone quite a long time to adapt to the new site. It's gradually improving for me.smile

Woodville. Should well suit you. H/S, serviced pitches good views and lots of birds!! Dave the owner was saying that he's going to add toilet & shower next year.

A mild but cloudy day with the odd spits & spats of rain. Went on a figure-of-eight walk from the CL up, over and around Earls Hill, visiting both of the hill forts. Great views all round from the top of the hill, from The Wrekin, in the north east, past Lawley & Caer Caradoc to the Stiperstones to the south and over the Welsh Border hills to the west.

I've just completed the purchase of a brand new Smart Car. We arrived at the dealership at 9.30 a.m. and it was all completed by 11.30 a.m. The salesman said it was the fastest sale he has ever done! We have to come back on Thursday morning to collect it as they have to fit number plates and other finishing touches.

It's a two seater automatic with power steering. So we'll have a new car for Christmas!
