Really cold frosty start this morning ,but then went downhill and is now damp and misty
Two hospital appointments now finished one more in Dec
Needed medication review so tried to get anti flu injection at Doc as well but advised none are now available as NHS England will not supply any more? only now available via local Pharmacies,so now booked in there and earliest app is 7th Dec
several of us have been wondering why there have been 4 oldish box vans parked in area, saw our local PCSO when in local Coop, and she advised it is a growing trend, they are all taxed and insured, and are being used as Storage as it is cheaper than useing commercial storage facilities

I hope all your hospital appointments go well JVB. A friend was telling me this morning that her GP surgery have run out of flu jabs and she has failed to get it done after 3 trips to their flu clinic. She had booked into her local pharmacy this afternoon where they had assured her that they had reserved one for her. Gosh that's different to use box vans as storage! It must be a nuisance to have them parked in your local area. I hope it isn't a growing trend. You are very lucky to have a local PSCO - we haven't seen one for ages.

We'd booked our jab a couple of weeks ago, while we were away, and got them yesterday. Talking to the practice nurse she said that they'd not long received their first batch and were well behind with the number of patients wanting them. It seems that there's only one supplier of the vaccine in this country, and they are having trouble keeping up with the demand.

Might be worth talking to your local Councillor. My Sister in Law had a problem with a long flatbed recovery vehicle always parked on the side of her house which made it fifficult to access her parking space. My son spoke to the local Council and the Councillor and it was gone within days. It might be worth checking they are taxed and insured especially if left without being moved. There is an App called Vehicle Smart that can tell you if they are!!!

Is the number of folks wanting to be vaccinated a surprise to the NHS? Since they've been doing it for years and encouraging folk to take up the vaccine you'd have thought they would have a jolly good idea of the amount of doses they need and sort a supplier capable of fulfilling the requirements! π€π’
Whoops I've gone into silly mode again πππ

To some extent the problems with supply of the flu vaccine have been made worse by the fact you can also have it at the pharmacy. At least that's what we were told, when we arrived for our jab and they had run out. Apparently deliveries were phased, rather than front loaded and GP surgeries had to put orders in in some time ago. They had no idea how many were going to get it done at the pharmacy when they were told they had missed the fist wave at the surgery, and if they get left with stock there is a cost. Hence why some ran out yet again. We were lucky and received ours a few weeks ago, at the second time of asking.
