I would rather prefer Terry Brooks for MY fantasy reading thank you very much, DeeDee, but it was still very kind of you to make the suggestion and now I'm off for a little snack then to WORK !!
Actually I'll be feeding a load of racing / homing pigeons while their owners are over Llandudno way, probably being robbed of fish 'n chips by some rude and very common Herring gulls.

Drier and a bit brighter today so have managed a few hours in the garden, well not quite garden but the gravel that runs from the side gate round the side of the house and to OH's shed.
The LPG tank is included in that area as well, the area is big enough to house 5 cars if only we could get access from the street to it. Spent 3 hours on hands and knees weeding. OH tackled the last of the leaves under the cherry tree, that's them all down now. Still got the back garden to do but that will have to wait for another day.
Time now for a shower and dressed as its the Christmas lights switch on at 6.15pm in town and more important is its out eldest granddaughters 12 birthday, her Mum, Dad and brother drove up late yesterday from Wiltshire, so a nice family get together for her.
Its starting to get dark outside now and the light is going in the house so time to switch the lights on, as I'm sat here in the dark trying to type on the laptop and I can't see the keyboard (good to know I can still touch type)
Have a good weekend folks.

Posted on 17/11/2018 10:08 by milliehullWell I had a different sort of day yesterday. I had arranged to meet up with 3 friends at John Clare's cottage in Helpston for a coffee and catch up. Two of us arrived and had a lovely gossip over a cup of coffee (and a piece of cake ). The other 2 caught the wrong bus and ended up in the wrong village so we didn't see them. It was not the day we had anticipated.

Weather was a bit grey first thing, but soon brightened up.
We had a lovely walk round Stowe Gardens in the sunshine. They also have a Christmas Fair in the Parlour rooms, nice assortment of stalls which change over after a few days. Enjoyed a cuppa sitting outside, it felt really warm in the sun. Called at the Farm shop on the way home.
David: Hope you enjoy the new motorhome.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Posted on 17/11/2018 10:36 by DavidKlyneVery rash day yesterday, we ordered a new motorhome. Been thinking about it for some time now but couldn't make up our minds whether to go for a van conversion. Having thought long and hard about it we decided that the accommodation would be a bit tight for us which outweighed the other benefits. Bailey have introduced a middle range called Alliance based on their Advance range so we have decided on the Alliance 66-2 which is quite a bit smaller than our current model but gives more room inside than a van conversion would. Delivery in March!
