Ian, have you visited Upton House, another idea if you haven't. Smile

We've been there many times H&T but not this holiday.

We do usually go there, but last year they changed the house style to how it was in the WW2 years. We preferred it as it was before - in the inter-war years and earlier.

The gardens are usually lovely though and I always like to imagine hot summer days lazing by (and in) the outdoor swimming pool Smile

Lovely weather today. Lots of caravans on the site with people sitting outside in the sun in their relaxers, some reading a book, some enjoying a tipple, some falling asleep.

Finally completed the cleaning of the van, inside and out. Not much left to do now until it goes in for it's service 2 weeks today. Cleared out some rubbish from the garage to make a bit more room for when we get the new car. The weather seems to be slowly improving, so hopefully we'll be in for a decent period of warm sunny dry weeks.

Nice to hear you are really "doing" the area Ian...have you been to the Rollright Stones yet?Smile

Well done H&T's company, nice to be recognised by others.

I've had a busy day, mostly in the garden.

Seeing  your  mention  of  Rollright  Stones  reminds  me,  Brue,   of  the  "Duncton"  series  of  books --  When  I  first  read  them  I  promised  myself  I'd  visit  all  the  places  named  in  the  books  but  the  promise  slipped  my  memory.  I  think  I  must  re-read  them  &  work  out  the  best  sequence  to  visit  them  and  then  Stick  To  It  !!

Didn't know that ABM...to be honest the stones are better in winter when there's hardly anyone around, but they're worth seeing.Smile

That's it for today folks, the gardening has taken it's toll, still more to do tomorrow.Worried
