Glad you got your love seat Goldie!  You would have kicked yourself if you had lost it for the sake of a few more quid!  No-one needs to know the true price do they??  Wink

The trouble is I cannot lie.

But it makes a change  - me buying something for the house, rather husband and son buying something for the farm

Goldie - Ercol will last for years, still look good 50 yrs later. It is a quality product.  Mine are of that age and they apparently sell well in auction rooms if needs be. Well done!

We've quite a bit of Ercol - starting with dining chairs I bought with my first proper wage packet in 1970, and a coffee table my husband bought for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. Then a few older bits bought second hand.

The big expense was a couple of years ago. I ordered two new settees from Ercol Factory Outlet. I measured the doors carefully and decided they would go through. But when they arrived they went through the front door into the hall, but because the interior walls are 2 - 3 feet thick, would not go through the door to the sitting room. But it was the best thing that could have happened. We removed the window at the back of the room (dual aspect) and put in a door onto the patio (carefully measured). It's lighter and brighter and we don't have to traipse round the outside of the house.

My husband refers to them as " the settees Kathleen bought" - not "our settees"

Car going in tomorrow for the propshaft to be replaced.  Hope that will solve the noise problem we have.  Time is running short before our holiday.  Hope it will be solved in time.

I managed to squeeze in a week at yellow Craig's a wee while ago in between hospital for my wife and respite for both wife and son! I bet you won't guess who I saw the adjacent carpark?

Winston Churchill!

The actor Brian Cox was filming on part of the beach for a movie!

My wife has a checkup on her eye cancer on Thursday so here's hoping that the procedure has worked! I am running ragged!

We've just been shopping at the Tesco Express in the town centre in between deliveries. It's been quite busy for a Monday.

Write your comments here...I asked my dealer and he said you can tow straight away but when I downloaded the manual it states you must do 1000 km first, it's  on page 302 or 303  depending on which one you download

Write your comments here...Just checked again on page 303 and you are correct when i looked in the table of contents for towing it send me to page 310 so missed this, apoligies nellie if i mislead you.

Write your comments here...it took me a while to find it, its not easy to find.

Thanks for all your effort guys. Guess I'll just have to do a bit of motoring before I yow, but I doubt that I'll get to the 1000km before setting off on our Autumn trip.

We went to Stratford on Avon last night to watch 'A Misummer Nights Dream'.

A bit slow to start with, but very good when it got going.

The lady playing Puck was very funny.

They have a different group of 'amateurs' performing the 'play within a play' for a few days at a time. Last night it was a group from Newcastle and they almost stole the show.

Excellent stuff Laughing
