My favourite is when someone says “You haven’t got a pen I could borrow have you”

To which I reply “Do you know your right, I haven’t got a pen you could borrow - but how did you know that?”

It's still dry here but looking as though we might get some rain. Had a nice time in a local garden centre this morning, choosing some plants for summer pots. Garden centres lift my spirits, oh and the usual coffee and cake helped too. smile

We are off staying close to one of my favourite nurseries soon, Perry's Plants at Ruswarp near Whitby. They have a riverside show garden with a smashing old fashioned tea room, so a lovely place to spend an afternoon. Also on agenda this trip is a new nursery to me, Rogers near Pickering. I think they have a rose nursery. My list of plants for this year is growing......

Just had a look on Rogers website.....good job we are taking another vehicle as well, could come back full of rose plants! I use climbers as a tea leaf deterrent, better than barbed wire and prime collector of DNA evidence if the blighters do brave it!laughing Plus they might get Blackspot or Mildew!

Try  Blackthorn  TTDA,  great  deterrent  or  so  I'm  told,  and  you  can  enjoy  "the  Fruits"  of  your  labours  !!

All the houses in our area (like us) have pyracantha as a boundery "defence" either as hedging or as ours grown up the walls round the garden,it works,up to now no one has breached the defences locallysurprised
