Anybody else noticed how much smoke electronic cigarettes make? I was watching somebody smoking one and he almost disappeared into the cloud of smoke , it was so huge and dense. I can't believe that this is not a health problem in the making.

I agree that the fumes may sometimes have a more pleasant odour, but none of us know what's in the chemical fumes (because they aren't regulated or controlled) so I'd rather not breath them in, thank you.

All places that smoking isn't  allowed that I know of the E cigs  are banned to local pubs resturants ect , but was shock when we went to a funeral and the wake was at the local club, massive outside under cover smoking area ,which looked full and inside in the hall nearly everyone was puffing on those ecigs .....Sad It was like going back to the 70s

From what i understand when they first came out they were a aid to help stop smoking, now they are used as a subsitute, even known non smokers try them.

Not quite true, Ian.  Since 20 May 2016, all such products have been subject to the EU Tobacco Products Directive (2) and although it's still work in progress, all manufacturers producing these products have to comply. Personally, I only use a product containing pharmaceutical grade nicotine from a reputable supplier.  Also, contrary to what someone else has indicated on here, there is no tar whatsoever in these products - that's the whole point - you're avoiding the nasty things found in tobacco.  Since the Royal College of Surgeons have now endorsed eCigs as a means of reducing the number of deaths and disease caused by conventional smoking, I continue to see these devices as a positive step forward, ultimately reducing the pressure on an already over-burdened NHS.  It's very easy for a non-smoker to simply say "stop smoking".  Yes. I wish I'd never started, but at least eCigs have succeeded for me where other attempts have failed.

I was driving behind a car, and could guess correctly that the driver was smoking an e-cig; the amount of smoke/vapor that came out of the window was amazing.  Though if the window was closed, how much would they be able to see out of the window if the car is like a winter's day with what looks like smogHappy

Write your comments here...sorry yes my mistake I honestly meant nicotine not tar , which I thought was bad for you as well and they can control the strength so most go on high Strength anyway

Write your comments here...personally I wouldn't want to be in a car with windows closed while someone was puffing on one of them , especially those big lump of square metal one's they send it out like the flying Scotsman
