It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

Lost me there somewhat. One death is too many if it can be prevented.

But as I said simply whatever is deemed necessary. If the government say it is then I'll go with it.

The thing is people die not one of us will live forever ever.
I know of 2 people who died last year, not with covid. 1 of them had cancer had hospital appointments cancelled several times due to the virus. Eventually died of cancer. The other one was 85 and in a care home. Would she be dead if she could have had loved ones visiting?

Sorry this is just in poor taste discussing things like this and I've stated my answer for you so I'll leave it there.

Poor taste or not it is fact. And as I think you might be able to tell I am totally against lockdown.

But which of the current, very limited restrictions, are you seriously affected by? undecided

You can go away in your caravan, you can go to a pub or restaurant for a drink or a meal as long as you're prepared to be served at your table. You can now visit loved ones in care homes (and they can venture outside without having to quarantine on return). You can even go to a football/cricket/ tennis event if you're so inclined.

Unless your an avid night club or festival goer I can't see why anyone would be against the very limited rules we are still asked to abide by.

For 1 I hate the fact masks have to be worn I find it hard to breath in one.
As for night clubs Secondly not being selfish I think that it is about time that the younger generation should have their fun and be allowed night clubs. Third having been in pain with toothache for over a year, the dentist saying I will have to have the tooth out in hospital as the gum needs cutting to get at the roots. Another thing which is due to lockdown, could be another couple of years before I have it out. In the meantime I have from time to time have to take antibiotics to get rid of the pain. I suppose the plus is having the tooth out in hospital will save me £50 pound or so. That is if covid doesn’t get me 1st.

So how many 4 week extensions are you prepared to put up with.

As many as it takes to reduce the number of infections and deaths of a negligible level.
