It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

Jvb, is there a chance that we can stay on track with this thread rather than meander off? I think there will be more Covvid news to discuss.

Today I noticed that both the GP led vaccine gateway and one of the other vaccine hubs in my area are shut.  Presumably this is because of a shortage of vaccines.  My own hub is also paused.  All a bit worrying for those getting close to second jab time.  I'm concerned and I suspect we are heading for a delay longer than we are currently being told about.

We keep being told there is enough to give folk their second jabs and the second jab figure has passed 5m now. Time will tell.

Our second jabs has been brought forward 4 days to today. Wife and I were originally booked for the 11th.

From what I have read in this mornings paper, the main issue seems to be around if the AZ will be withdrawn from use in younger adults. If this happens the Moderna won’t provide enough doses to compensate, slowing down the rollout. It should not have any effect on second jabs for those who have already had the first dose.
