It's good to hear that members of CT are receiving their vaccinations, good luck to all those yet to have theirs. It seems like a long haul till we get everyone sorted and hear the results of the present vaccines.

I'm leaving this open for non political comments as per the guidelines. Hope you can add your own experiences and thoughts.

My first jab comes up tomorrow, I'm so glad we have research institutions that have got us this far! And I am planning breaks away in the hope of improvements on the horizon.

I already have flexi tickets for late August returning October. In a normal year would have been in Croatia at that time but thats looking unlikely and we would prefer to go a bit earlier if we are going to France as much of it closes in line with the weather early October..

I’m wondering if sites might stay open later in order to service us late comers. In 2019 as we came north in early October,  some sites had actually closed earlier than advertised. Although fortunately it didn’t matter to us as we were able to utilise Aires. However this year,  given how poorly sites have faired as a result of covid, they may want to remain open if there is enough demand.

The question of covid 'passports' is interesting.

Some time back I posted that I could see that countries might view proof of vaccination as an indication that you would be unlikely to burden their health service but, as the vaccine does not stop you catching or passing on covid, what would be the reason or advantage.

I know that there has been more media coverage of this but nothing concrete yet and on past performance unlikely that an EU wide scheme will be here any time soon.

I am inclined to think that once the prospect of losing out on the multi million pound family holiday business, where many will not have been vaccinated, looms large there may be a change in approach.

Perhaps the fact that if you contracted it, in all likelihood the severity would be reduced and the chances of you clogging up a hospital bed / intensive care much less.

I was commenting in regard to common sense and being onboard the program.

I have read criticism of the lack of fines (elsewhere). The police had little chance if they were to avoid a riot I suspect.

& I was expected to know that by your-‘really?’ Post🤷🏻‍♂️🙄

Interesting comment?undecided when it is still essential to keep social distancing ,and as "advised by the experts" the vacine is too new to say for sure that it stops transmission or catching the virus , although they do say if infected the symptoms should not be so severesurprised

The bigger idiots are those that allowed football and rugby to continue, the outcome of this match was obvious. Allowed just to appease the public.

You & me both, I said that about the 6N’s☹️

Sorry.embarassed

I read it as  a statement and a question. You seemed to be disagreeing with your earlier statement and asking a question.. “What would be the reason or advantage”
