At our local Asda you will be reminded should you forget to mask up. Some do simply forget that their mask is still in their pocket

It simply needs a sign:

No Mask, No Entry, No Excuses, Go elsewhere.

Of course there are people who are exempt for medical reasons, but maybe they should be encouraged to “click and collect “ rather than entering the store?

Not sure I would agree. You are then treating those people differently because of a medical condition. And it is not always possible to arrange a click and collect. I was just responding the blanket no mask no excuses no entry sign that Mikey was proposing.

Personally I am quite happy if there is a genuine excuse not to ware a mask for that person not to wear one. The problem is that some have used the 'exempt card' without one and it is far too easy to get one.

To be honest, in this present dire situation if you can get a delivery slot somewhere you'll be avoiding the increased chances of getting Covid in an enclosed space.

Some do? but it was the same at our local hospital when i last attended ,all the appontment letter have a reminder about wearing masks ,but while i was in the entrance seating area ,there were quite a few who "forgot theirs?" but why bother when the NHS staff will give them one ,i did not see one patient within the hospital without wearing one?undecided

Can't see the point of your asinine comment.!!

All I want doing was to indicate that other European countries were suffering to a similar extent to the UK.

All you seem interested in is trying to score points.

no difference in reality in my view

excuse - release (someone) from a duty or requirement.

And in the government guidelines the word excuse is used:

There are some places where you must wear a face covering by law, unless you are exempt or have a reasonable excuse
