The current National Anthem should have been consigned to the dustbin of national hatred years ago.  It was designed to be devisive and insulting. 

One of the verses is :-

Lord grant that Marshal Wade
May by thy mighty aid
Victory bring.

May he sedition hush,
And like a torrent rush,
Rebellious Scots to crush.

God save the Queen!

I always associate Jerusalem with the WI  Land of Hope and Glory IMO is very english and before anyone says anything yes I am english, just married to a scot.

A great song but hardly appropriate as an anthem. Crikey, talk about dumbing down!

Not Swing Low, it's the most boring and uninspiring ditty I have ever heard, it really gets up my nose

Does anybody know if we will actualy get a vote on this subject, or is it another nanny state recommendation forced on us ?
