Why not standardise check in & depart times?

I'm sure this has been posted before but isn't it about time the Club standardise check in time.. and introduced a standard process . Its so frustrating that sites seem to have a multitude of arrival and depart times . Surely anyone leaving can get off pitch by 11am at the latest . Thus leaving a clear hour for narrow approach roads etc . All new  arrivals then know mid-day is a fixed time no matter what site you choose. This makes most difference to those on first day as the extra hour for pitching  is nice to have .  Wardens can open and close toilet blocks etc to suit the site and the staff . Why is that not possible ?

We are usually far too busy doing something enroute to somewhere to suffer any angst around arrival and departure times. In fact, if I have a gripe around Club Sites, it’s that they are inconvenient with a 8pm arrival cut off in Summer.

Regardless of what times the club has made in the past /current /future arrangements for arrivals & departure times at club sites.

We all know that the group of selfish *I'm more important that everyone else* clique of special members don't do rules & regulations that are set out for the Entire whole membership.

Sadly sometimes the wardens are the ones that come under the cosh from members, if they strictly implement the times laid out for a particular site because of access /exit reasons.

Chatsworth was a prime example of early arrivals taking the urine, until the end of the lane chain barrier was implemented, it stopped it in an instant. πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ€

Why would I have been "upset" by any of your "leg pulling", BB (yes I can read, understand and even  speak a little French when necessary! smile).

But to explain my last sentence, a little while ago, there was a thread running which produced a whole lot of criticism of certain site users. You posted a  list of what you called "selfish" characteristics, first and most memorable of which was expecting to be allowed to arrive early when sites had a stated "earliest arrival time"! (Or, there again, maybe you never wrote any such thing! surprised)

No you're right I he did write that M smile

But at the expense of people having to leave an hour earlier? Personally an 'hour extra' to leave would be better.

No the 12:00  leave by date is fine, arrive at 13:00 is fine too.

Of course there is the problem that no matter what the arrival time there is always the selfish few who will try to get in before that time by one means or another. As said above have a set time but stick to it.
