As soon as the lockdown is lifted.I ask because both my husband and I are over seventy and my husband has been notified that he is very vulnerable because of some health issues.I was thinking maybe a fully serviced pitch where we can use our own facilities?

If they are selfish and stupid enough to drive without insurance, risking harm and car damage to others without recompense, then they are just the sort of idiots who will flout the lockdown. Not easy for our police at the moment, well done them. (Although- sleeping in the car!)

We will be going away as soon as we deem it safe to do so. We have worked through this so far, the only difference it has made to us is we cant go out in our down time so when we can we will make the most of it.

We wont be flouting the rules at all regardless off Bank holidays or any other days, we will continue to follow the guidelines and advice given

I am fully aware people have been effected by this far worse than we have all over the world and our thoughts are with all of them.

"We will be going away as soon as we deem it safe to do so"

Do you actually mean what you've written  ("we deem it safe to do so") or do you mean "when it is deemed safe to do so"? There is an important distinction.

Both statements could be correct as long as:

The Governments view "when it is deemed safe to do so"  predates  rich81's  personal view of  "we deem it safe to do so"

exactly. i mentioned in another thread that its been mentioned by the 'medical men' that this virus may never be completely eradicated..

this will mean 'vulnerable' folk being subject to higher risk long after the majority are 'back to normal' (or the new normal).

so, 'we deem it safe to do so' may well be applicable.

It seems by the Interviews on the Andrew Marr programme  that none of the polititions have a real plan to get out of this pandemic,  it will all rely on each countries populations to act responsibly

Agreed - that's why I just asked rich to clarify.  smile

Actually, on re-reading the post I think the second paragraph does confirm that - apologies, rich. embarassed

Hi

We will make a decision once the Government advice is that we can go out. If they say next week we can all go out then we will carry out our own risk assessment and if we don't deem it safe we wont go

I’ve booked some nights away in August (CC sites). It’s nice to have something to look forward to, even if we end up not going. I’ll take stock of the situation closer to the time, which includes government advice. Easy enough to cancel anyway.

Before all this started, I booked a week away at Trevornick (just outside Newquay) for ourselves, daughter and grandchildren, mid July. I can’t see that happening.

We often do a walk from Cubert down to Holywell Bay round the coast path to Porth Joke and back skirting the edge of the golf course at Trevornick, Freddy. Will give you a wave if/when we pass by (might have to be a "virtual" one in July though! smile

(Off thread, I know, but did you get to make that chilli loaf the other day? And how was it?)
