What is the difference between a newly arriving MH pitching up at 9.10pm and a MH that booked in the previous day returning to the site at the same time having spent the day elsewhere.  The disturbance, if any, would be the same.  It sounds like a manufactured excuse to me, and a badly thought through one at that šŸ‘æ.

Yet again, the rules apply to everyone! Latest arrivals 8pm. If they knew it was going to be later by an obviously significant amount and not agreed with the staff (maybe that’s why they didn’t answer their call), then they should have made alternative arrangements and booked in at a site en route, instead of it appears rocking up and taking umbridge at not being allowed on site. The staff will have been on the go since probably 9am, so it’s not too much to ask that they’re also allowed a life and some downtime at the end of a quiet often long and tiring day. It’s not Macdonalds and open for business 24/7! A campervan returning to site in an evening knows which pitch it’s on and generally settles back on site relatively quickly and like a car, is their means of transport. A new arrival needs to be accepted in for numerous reasons, not least if there was an emergency on site through the night, which the site staff would be attending. Good on the Wardens for not rolling over to their and there friends obviously lack of respect šŸ‘

Club rule - Ovaltine, tablets and bed by 8pm. - and no talking . And you wonder why we went elsewhere.

If your not happy with the T&C’s that’s clearly the best thing to do. However, most seem to get along just fine.

This forum is free and shouldn't  be,  it should not provide a platform  for non members

Posted on 04/05/2022 10:18

Why not, David? Most non members like ourselves are actually former members of long standing with many years of experience to pass on to others. (And do so positively, rather than the constant sniping about high costs and low standards in the UK so beloved of some "members"). frown

Progress is being made on aires, albeit slowly. P&R facilities without height barriers, less so.

Very, very slowly if at all? Some of the ‘aires’ set up have since disappeared. Better bet today is pub stops which have increased in number over recent decades. As for P&R, that’s appalling in my opinion given the potential. On the whole we are nothing like the more forward thinking mainland Europe.

It’s a good job it does allow non members. I can think of one or two “non members” who were booted out for one misdemeanour or another, or who thought joining was beneath them until recently, and joined after a period of posting as “non members”šŸ¤£

This is just social media rant, pasted and retitled for maximum effect, then left to fester with the occasional pudding spoon wielded to give a tad more flavour. šŸ„±

Actually I don't wonder at all why you go anywhere. Surely that is up to you alone. Why not give that same sentiment to others that choose club sites? Your way isn't the best way is it, or are you saying it is?
