I haven't seen any confirmation or otherwise regarding this but have just read it on Faceache with a date of 25th June being, allegedly, given by a member of site staff for implementation.

UP TO DATE INFORMATION ON BOOKINGS

We are normally able to book for next June from today.
However this isn’t possible as the website is moving over to deposits in the next couple of weeks.
So at this time we cannot book anything for next June until the system is live.

Wake me up when the dust has settled.

Why? I didn’t think you booked club sites 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think the site staff you have spoken to should take a better look at their terms of employment jvb. There are channels in place to take if they are unhappy instead of using you as a mouthpiece on social media.

I think the channels are in the drought area and have been for some time

I always thought whistleblowers in any organisation should be applauded.

I’ve been trying to find out from the club when the new booking experience is going live I have sent several emails & the first reply said it was going live on 8th of this month then I got told it would be today Monday 15 Aug I’ve had an email stating my booking for September was being transferred to the new system so I had an online chat with them today to find out how I can make sure I get a hard standing pitch only to be told the new system wouldn’t be coming in till early in September due to complications. I just can’t understand why they can’t get the new system up & running I’ve been a club member for 20 years & I’ve never known them to have so many problems implementing a new system it’s getting to be a bit frustrating now

All it would take to make any leaking unnecessary is for the club to give out a factual update, instead of disseminating information in an add hoc manner. JD was told in a recent chat (quoted post above) that the new system wouldn’t be coming till early September. I personally don’t consider this shortly, as in the email they sent out to members with bookings the other day.

Well even me, or should that be even I, wouldn't be that generous PD.

They need to decide asap the best way forward, either wait or allow the current sytem to go a bit longer.

I wonder if they don't want to do that as June, July and August being the club's peak occupancy that will cost them quite a bit in lost deposits?

They might lose even more if people book to get a firm booking for holidays elsewhere for next Summer.

Imagine if say you couldn't book a package for next year with Thompsons? You'd just go to Jet2?

You haven't been able to book a holiday with Thomson's for five years. innocent

Indeed they are but I suspect by posting in this context and reply to JK that you may not understand what one is at all.

Whistleblowing refers to reporting something in an organisation by usually an employee that is perceived as illegal, dangerous, immoral, fraudulent... you get the idea?

Simply being unhappy about your working conditions isn't covered by the definitions and/or protection by current legislation see https://www.gov.uk/whistleblowing.

Also all we have is JVB's personal views/anecdotes from someone he may have been in contact with.

Complaints that count as whistleblowing

You’re protected by law if you report any of the following:

a criminal offence, for example fraud
someone’s health and safety is in danger
risk or actual damage to the environment
a miscarriage of justice
the company is breaking the law, for example does not have the right insurance
you believe someone is covering up wrongdoing

Complaints that do not count as whistleblowing
Personal grievances (for example bullying, harassment, discrimination) are not covered by whistleblowing law, unless your particular case is in the public interest.

Report these under your employer’s grievance policy.
