Early arrivals - action at last?

I’ve said several times when we’ve discussed the issue of early arrivals that, in my opinion, the only effective way to deal with recalcitrant 'offenders' is to apply membership sanctions.

I’ve been reading elsewhere of a CAMC member who, it’s reported, has had his club membership suspended by the Site Manager due to arriving early at Hillhead and refusing to leave despite being requested to do so by that Site Manager.

In this case it seems to have been the member's own lack of planning and forethought which resulted in his early arrival so it’s not a case of there being any extenuating circumstances.

Obviously only one side of the story is given and we need to keep open minds but, if this is factual, it would appear that the club is using its teeth in an effort to enforce the no arrivals before 1300 rule. Perhaps this is what is needed to get the message across.

If everyone arrived on the dot at Hillhead there would still be a traffic problem in the main holiday season TW. So I'm afraid this is an issue for CAMC and I'm not commenting here on customer actions that may or not be considered by some to be "plain silly."

Wow!

Actually you’re right in that it is an issue for CAMC and I’m happy to see they’re dealing with it.πŸ‘πŸ»

Don't forget that if there was a mass influx at 1300, people would be booking in and the queue would be moving. It’s not so prior to 1300 when any queue would either remain static or increase, hence the need not to allow a queue - simples!

I’ve said several times that the story is from the member, DD, and is "as reported", or similar words. I read and related the member's tale and we're very unlikely to hear the staff/club side of the story.

The main thrust of my OP was to highlight the (reported) fact that the club is at last (apparently) dealing with the early arrival situation in a way which might achieve results.

Is the OP fact or hearsay ?

We cannot know and the lack of confirmation is something I’ve repeatedly tried to make clear.

My interest is that the club appears to be acting, assuming the member's tale is accurate.

Does it matter? Are only facts to be posted and discussed HD?

We can take it at face value and as brought up quite a lot of support for the club?

The original post is there for everyone to read and easy to find, going on for three pages now with the OP posting back a few times. I assume it is a fact that it happened, or rather at least that it has been posted as happened, which is what TW has always said. But this thread, I think,  is about if the club did the correct thing, or would do the correct thing.

I can't imagine anyone on another non club forum making it up. but as said we don't know both parts of the story, there's always more to it usually.

Well, the innocent party/miscreant who has been penalised has posted his version of events on another forum, it’s there in his own words. πŸ€”πŸ™‚

I don’t know all the facts so I’m not going to comment on wether it’s right or not , it won’t affect me so I don’t care

Precisely and it’s that tale of his I’ve been referring to with plenty of references to it being the member's unsubstantiated version.
