Just came across this on Faceache.  Might be useful to know.

Of course you wouldn’t pay a night's fee at both the club site and the P&R. That would be crazy so, instead, you’d obviously use one or the other.

Squabbling? No it’s debate.

If overnighting, I'd probably use the P&R. If visiting the city, I'd use Baxter Wood Farm CL as I did last year. There's no way I'd pay the CAMC prices to pitch next to a motorway.

As for the reference to JK's (tongue in cheek?) suggestion of booking a one night at a club site to enable a "splash & dash", good luck with that as all the pitches were taken a year previously and you didn't know you'd need some water that far ahead.

All club sites have pitches taken a year in advance now CY? Didn't you post recently that club sites would be empty due to the higher prices?

I can’t see us using it. I assume there will be a restricted number of parking places for MH’s. That being the case, with no pre booking or facility to check spaces online, it could well be full when you arrive. Unlike over there we don’t have an abundance of legal overnight options and I’m not sure how sympathetic the wardens at DG would be if you turned up without a booking at 7:30pm. That’s if they even had space.😉

SB-I think a podcast is ‘over the air’ so suggesting TDA’s post is more like a podcast is intrinsically wrong due to it being written🤷🏻‍♂️

Taking the next junction up is the turn off for Chester-le-street and if you follows directions for Tesco you'll find North Burns car park. It has some very long parking bays which are often used by MHs and some have been there quite late and appear to be overnighting. Lots of pubs and eating places,
