I read elsewhere that C&CC are closing some sites and cancelling people’s bookings due to staff shortages. Sure enough, it's true and they've updated their website today. I hope nobody here is affected.

Depends on the destination and pitch type ET.......Yes for a standard pitch x 2 persons, 100 nights may well be for 2021 but not on the 'honeypot' sites or if you prefer a serviced pitch....the latter for whatever reason..eg Disability, or not wishing to go to MH service point.

If you decide to pitch up at a 'honeypot' site on a service pitch this will be in the region of £45/50 pn x 2 persons in July... eg Knaresborough/Seacroft too name a couple. Even Cayton Village in November will cost you £28.50 pn

I did say in a post a couple of years ago that £50 would be the norm..but I believe I added that the pitches should be serviced.

True but I had also forgotten about the vat reduction.

We have only been away for 35 nights so far this year from the end of May to last week and every month in between. Our nightly average so far is £22.22 a night which also takes into account the VAT reduction. Had it not been for a week at Northbrook Farm costing £14.50 a night the average would have been much higher. I am fully expecting next year that our pitch fees will range between £25/40 a night.

I think what is interesting is that in 2019 (91 nights away) and 2020 (46 nights away) my average site night cost was between £17.50 and £18 this year, after 67 nights away it is close to £22 and that is with the VAT reductions  If I added in Club membersip costs these costs would be even higher.  In none of these years did I venture over there, niether did I use any vouchers but I did use a higher percentage of C&MC sites this year.

Now that is way off the OP's topic but hey ho so are many others.

If those of you who use club sites ,are going to also. be thinking using them next year ? A bit of advance warning , get them booked before the prices go up  with the very steep rises in gas and electric prices that it seems are not as short lived as some thinksurprised

For comparison our figures for 2019 was 236 nights @ £13:78 and for 2020 was 137 nights @ £14:17, so quite a relatively high increase this year.

Low number of nights away for us this year, only 60,  cost £1309.23.  So £21.82 per night.

We used several Club sites, and upgraded some to serviced pitches due to VAT reduction, but we used more CCC sites and CLs than Club  sites.  We also had DD join us for 4 nights, which accounts for about £28 of the total.

95 site nights for us, the majority CAMC but a fair few C&CC and one independent. No real idea of the cost, it’s not something I’ve ever done. If I had to guess, I would think something in the order of £25 / £28 pound a night, as there were a few service pitches. If it had been all CAMC I would have estimated more but the other clubs age related discount made them very reasonable indeed.  For instance, our three nights at Malvern costing £25 less than if we had gone next door.

Only 67 nights for us so far, September was lost due to awful forecasts and awaiting hospital appointment. October has been lost due to self isolation before todays cataract operation and a few weeks recuperation still to come. Let's hope that we can get away in the caravan next month.

£1137 spent on site fees at an average cost of £17, mainly inflated by expensive CS's in the Forest of Dean area.
