CAMC pitch markers

It is reported in another forum (Autosleepers) that all Club sites will soon have two pitch markers for each pitch - and you pitch between the two.

I havent seen it anywhere on Club info or this forum.

Anyone know any more?  I know people like to get really exercised about "pitching to the peg"!

I would just like to say that that the last couple of pages of this particular discussion have, for me been the most interesting and enjoyable read on this forum.

Thank you so much for sharing these memories and in particular the photographs .

More please !

It wasn’t far removed from that🀣. People were known to move pitches when we rocked up. I can’t think whyπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

You could start a new thread e.g. "My first Outfit"?

Back on subject, I don't recall being asked to pitch to a peg when I first joined the Club other than at a rally.

I have been on 2 sites, Brighton & Moreton the Marsh, where the peg has been placed at or near to one of the rear corners.   Thought this was a good idea particularly for motorhomes as it gives a lot of amenity outside the door especially on non-awning pitches.

I don't mind that arrangement providing they don't put the peg right in the corners as that means you are walking on the grass to get to your offside services.

We have just returned from Ferry Meadows where they have introduced the two peg system. Wandering around the site suggest that everyone is pitching correctly between the pegs!
