It is reported in another forum (Autosleepers) that all Club sites will soon have two pitch markers for each pitch - and you pitch between the two.

I havent seen it anywhere on Club info or this forum.

Anyone know any more?  I know people like to get really exercised about "pitching to the peg"!

If it’s your peg then I hope your driving has improved😂😂

Thanks, yes. Before we caravanned we had a small boat on the canals but thought that caravanning was a safer bet when the boys came along. The only thing about the picture is that it reminds me how awful the 1.3 Vauxhall Viva was as a tow car!!!!!

We had a similar caravan around 1979 and had the pleasure of a Austin allegro 1100, had to frequently drop into 1st gear in strong winds on motorways.

Ours was smaller still I think, a Bessacar with gas light's a Whale foot pump and a bunk bed above our double bed. Our upgrade from Camping with a tent in 1978 and I can't remember a White peg marker either. undecided

Coo, that’s posh AD…..a hard standing.

Don’t the vans look tiny nowadays. We still have our 13ft Cotswold Windrush, built 1984.

Water pumps? What luxury!

There wasn’t even a gas bottle box on mine. 1949, 10’ long and as basic as could be.
