You can now book your sites a year in advance

Just did the 'chat' thing about Chatsworth availability being greyed out from 3 Jan to 15 march 2019....agent came back after a while and told me Chatsworth was due some refurbishment work and those dates haven't been released yet....

Rowena posted a list of sites affected earlier in the thread. Hope the info gets put onto the site details soon.

FYI you will soon be able to book for Easter next year. From 11 April, you will be able to book for stays up until the end of April 2019, including the Easter weekend 19 - 22 April 2019.

Whilst accepting that my ill health is my problem not "yours" it does mean we can only ever book a site a few days in advance once I know I will be well enough to go.

This means we invariably end up unable to book site of choice. Often we end up on commercial sites as CC / C&M site full. This includes European sites. This new rule means we are now unlikely to ever be able to stay on a club site of choice near places we wish to be.

Whilst I accept we could do what many others appear to do and book multiple sites in advance then if ill not bother turning up I have always viewed this as dishonourable and dishonest. 

This new rule makes me question if the use I can make of sites is worth the subscription. Before anyone points out all the other benefits my insurance is cheaper elsewhere, Ferry companies do direct deals that are cheaper

As you say, jae, the problem is yours. Whilst I have every sympathy with your personal situation, it’s not something the club can be expected  to take into account when updating the booking policy in line with other leisure organisations and to give a lot of members what they've been asking for.

Anyone who makes a booking is fully entitled to cancel as per the T&Cs. That’s quite different to not bothering to turn up. Do you not plan, book and then cancel if ill health prevails? It’s surely the sensible thing to do.

From what I understand the mini frenzy booking for next Easter will be just that, it will be limited to the days released, not a whole year of bookings. I'm a bit surprised at the number of sites out of action.

Does anyone know when the ongoing booking dates will be? Does the club have a list or do we have to await a post on here from Rowena or others from HQ. To enable sensible forward planning members need a programme setting out forthcoming "frenzy " dates IMHO

I had an email from the club today, April 2019 can be booked from the 11th April. 

There doesn't appear to be a fixed date for the release of the the next year's booking as of yet, but that may well change. It has been roughly the middle of the first week in the month.

I've not received an e-mail informing me.....one rule for the rich and another for the poor it would seem, H&T.
