Please note arrival time has changed for Ferry Meadows. We are due to stay there in a few days and checked our booking which said arrival time 13:00 not 12:00 . We have noticed a few sites have changed booking in times, so best to check before setting off, as the wardens will not let you in earlier.

As I said in my post technology still relies in the most part for fallible. human input ,(CT is a prime example) it is and I expect. It to be still in the future , to always if important to give the "we are experiancing an exceptionally busy call rate today) under manned call centres a ringcool

John your logic escapes me , ring up and pester an  "exceptionally busy" call center  unnecessarily just in case they have forgotten to tell you something. However lets leave it at that and let the club site early arrivals roll and become the new "Sunday afternoon departures"smile

I am not talking every day ? But it I would think it be prudent to give a call , especially with the present and good chance into the future  climate of staff shortages ,due to the covid isolations ,how often do some complain they were not ,informed of something that could well have been avoided with a bit of "self help"frown and most call centres are only busy because those who hold the purse strings think it easy to reduce staff, OHs cousin was in a call centre in MK  but there was a cull of older better paid staff , to reduce costs,   as she now says her previous. work colleagues cannot now give the service , and it has been proven by the large amount of complaints recorded on the subject of long waiting times,  that cannot be understood by those aboveundecided,

I have just checked my next site booking email and it clearly says arrival 12-14.00.

David (DK) but isn't that the time you propose to arrive when you make or amend a booking? That is why I say expected time to arrive is different to actual time you arrive especially for those that arrive early.

Why would they need to arrive earlier than the expected time they have selected on the booking ?   unless they deliberately decided  as some do  ,  it is for others to be considerate not themyell

when you make a booking it could be months ahead of the actual arrival date.....

what you put on a form then may have no bearing whatsoever to the schedule being adopted 'on the day'...

nothing to do with being inconsiderate, everything to do with prevailing schedule/conditions.

Cannot do anything about what happens on the journey if delayed other than phone to advise the site manager but if my propsed schedule changes from that originally booked I will amend my booking arrival time in advance of departure. Perhaps JK can advise what if any notice is taken of proposed arrival times? I have often wondered.
