But it is not compulsory to spend anything or attend anything. You could use it just as a base.

That might be fine if you use the site like an aire but most people will select a site that provides them with convenience as well as a pleasant environment on site. As you don't name the site none of us can objectively work out whether it good value or not. Obviously it suites your needs but it seems that the majority of Club members like the quality and environment that Club sites provide and many seem reluctant to go elsewhere?

I need to be in the area so do I pay a minimum of £27.50p.n. for an economy pitch at Malvern Hills C&MC site or join in with thousands of others for £20.50p.n. at the Warners Malvern show just a couple of miles away. As far as I am concerned it was a no brainer.

Yep, I might have guessed it wasn’t a site as such🙄

So it's slightly different to the way you gave it. It's not a site but a show provided by a dealer designed, and therefore subsided, to get people to buy their wares? Hardly the same thing as a club site? Also with EHU it £35 per night.

Thousands of others? You make that sound like a plus point, I thought you liked quiet sites like the ones we're discussing on this thread?

Anyway I'm sure it's good for you but it really does sound horrendous.

Of course it is a site, just like the pop up ones, the only difference is it is close to the action and as such very suitable for motorhome owners.

Horrendous! if you have never tried any of the shows (there are many others open to staying on site) you will never know. Variety is the spice of life.

Come off it, PD. This isn’t the first time you’ve been a little duplicitous in dragging into a thread an example that in no way compares with the CAMC sites under discussion. I’m being kind to you here with the words I have chosen but why mislead and deviate from the topic in such an extreme way?

It is all part and parcel of costs of sites TW, not duplicitous at all as you call it.

At least thanks for pointing out where you are. You mentioned "no brainer" but for me and I guess quite a few other Club members it would have been the other way round. I appreciate that Warner Shows are big business and have quite a following but a bit chalk and cheese when it comes to comparing with proper campsites. I am not sure this discussion is about cheapness but more about value and quite where the Club prices sit on that scale. I think someone mentioned here or another thread about £80 a night in peak season for a family, that works out at £1120 for a fortnight's holiday for a family. Putting aside the cost of the unit which could be anywhere between £5000 and £25000 you would be hard pressed to find an alternative holiday anywhere for a family at that price for two weeks.

Sorry peedee, have to disagree. We wouldn’t need to try one to know we would hate it.

I have just been to the Warner Norfolk show and is no way on this earth that you can compare it to a club site or a club pop up site. The nearst thing you can compare it with the club is ClubFest.
