Which tells me that the pitch fee has been set deliberately low so that you can spend freely in the site bars and food outlets whilst enjoying the inclusive entertainment. Its the oldest trick in the book

But it is not compulsory to spend anything or attend anything. You could use it just as a base.

In which case you're quids in, but sites like the one you mention are modelled on the assumption that a significant number of people will go to the bars and restaurants.

Its unfair to compare them with sites that obtain their income from pitch fees alone

Care to share with others, PD?

Posted on 25/07/2024 16:10

No? That’s a shame as others might wish to do the same. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It may not be compulsory to attend but with on site bars, food outlets and entertainment I would imagine it would be very very difficult to avoid the noise and disturbance, not my sort of holiday but good luck if that's what you want.

We have used a Haven site a couple of times, for the free to use  pool and other facilities for our grandchildren. There was also entertainment and food outlets but we did not use them.  The noisy areas were well away from the touring area so there was no noise that we could hear.

It seems that on these types of sites, we have also used a few run by other providers,  the facilities are mainly situated for the convenience of the static vans.  A look at the site plan will show whether to expect noise, or not.

Peedee

That might be fine if you use the site like an aire but most people will select a site that provides them with convenience as well as a pleasant environment on site. As you don't name the site none of us can objectively work out whether it good value or not. Obviously it suites your needs but it seems that the majority of Club members like the quality and environment that Club sites provide and many seem reluctant to go elsewhere?

I assume this site is in the UK? Why not share the name, after all if others are finding club sites too expensive it will help others out.

Not for me either.
