...we need you!

We need your help to capture the beauty, exclusivity and tranquillity of your holiday on a Certified Location site. Each CL is unique, whether on a working farm, large country estate, in the heart of the country or handy for a city, each provides inspiration for stunning photography! Capture a moment to inspire other members to enjoy CLs.

Upload your photo here to be in with a chance to win a photography  course from Virgin Experience Days and a £100 Currys  voucher, and two lucky runner ups will receive a £50 Currys Voucher each!

Enter more than once if you wish with different photos but we will need to receive all entries by Friday 14th October 2016. The winner will be invited to accept their award at the CL of the Year prestigious awards ceremony at the House of Commons in November 2016. Photographs submitted will also be used to publicise our CL network.

sorry I don't get it. Why not, what other plan do you have for this snapshot of a CL how much money are you going to lose by not being able to sell this fabulous picture accrpss the world. Its just a picture of a CL

Presumably the Club will need to get consent from the CL owners to do anything with these photos given that the rules by definition imply that they will have been taken on private land.

It is also normal in such competitions to be a little more prescriptive in what is meant by a "Professional Photographer".

I haven't one suitable but if I did I would submit it quite happily, as for not being able to do anything else with it I'm sure I could still look at my snapshot on my computer occasionally, which is after all my total interest in taking photos.

This type of request always attracts negative comments regarding the T&C's, but its a standard thing and we all have a choice.

Agree and accepted. I think that it would help members to be able to see what a particular site under consideration looked like. And yes I know that we can see it on google earth but I am talking about now & at ground level. K  is correct though it needs to be kept up to date.

Now just wait for all the arguements about Google earth etc!

Copyright is retained by the photographer but what is the point of that if you have granted the promoter an exclusive licence thus preventing you using the image elsewhere.  Change the word to non-exclusive please.

Well,  the  easy  way  around  this  is  to  take  two  steps  to  the  left  or  right  and  take  another  photo  !!  Very  similar,  but  not  the  same Wink   .

Agreed  DD,  exactly  the  same  with  the  "CountryFile  Calendar"  photo  competition  tho'  --  years  of  complaints  I  believe  and  yet  they  just  seem  to  ignore  The  Moral  View  !

Losing your ability to market a picture is bearable if you win the prize as you have been rewarded. The also-rans just lose.
