VW Emission software fix

I am have serious reservations in allowing the software change to improve emissions to be applied to my TDI DSG Tiguan, I have read so many bad reports of a serious flat spot at 1500/2000 rpm , which when towing is going to cause problems pulling from junctions etc

My question is, simple . Has anyone committed to having this “upgrade” carried out , and have there been any members having had this upgrade carried out on their VAG cars find performance compromised

had my tiggy done end of may. just returned from Scotland west coast tour. no problems at all .performance fine. mpg same as before at 29mpg plus.no problems with torque. whats all the fuss about ?. or have I been lucky.
