Can anyone persuade me to go with CC insurance?

New for old quote from CC, £475,

Towergate Select new for old £375.

Then there is the club membership fee to add on to the above quote, we wont use club sites but could use CL's,

£100 or including membership £148 difference, am I missing some benefit or other?

Would not even try to persuade you Piggy. Times those saving by a few years and it mounts up. You have to do what you have to do.

No idea what the service of Towergate is or thec insurer they use but the CC give better cover than any other I have seen whatever others say than anyone except the C&CC policy. The service is first class and the settlements fair. We have found the C&CC policy far cheaper and are trying that.

You have to weigh up your own priorities and decide what suits you.

Write your comments here...Wildwood I entirely agree that quality of cover is an important element as is approach to claims settlement but are you sure CC give the best cover ? I say that because in some cases what is coverered does not include retro-fitted items "accessories". These could easily amount to 20% of the value of the unit e.g. mover satellite dome system etc etc.

Been insured with the Caravan Club for a number of years. They sent my renewal notice to a dead email address despite me giving the new one. Telephoned Friday to speak to them said they would phone back in an hour. Hour and a quarter later still no phone call and eventually had to phone them back. Phoned Monday morning to amend my card details again no return call. Whilst waiting I checked out other insurers. Yes you've got it I've got increased cover with a saving of over £50 with another insurer. Customer service not their strong point and with a promptly dealt with enquiry they would still have had my business. However, their loss my gain.

Just renewed with C&CC......£270 new for old cover......less than last year.

I usually get a quote from the CC to compare, but they have always been so expensive that I didn't even bother this year.

Just had an e-mail from the club quoting that they will undercut my car's renewal quote, at present with LV, by £25!! Guess I'll have to talk to LV first before getting the CC's quote, but I can't see them reducing my renewal quote by that amount.

My intention was to get our van insured through any suitable insurer other than CC Ltd.  I went to a number of other companies and had some attractive quotes, however the customer service was appaling, despite reminders they wouldn't send me a detailed policy before purchase etc., so decide to take up the reasonable offer from the CC.  Never mind there always next year!
