Can anyone persuade me to go with CC insurance?

New for old quote from CC, £475,

Towergate Select new for old £375.

Then there is the club membership fee to add on to the above quote, we wont use club sites but could use CL's,

£100 or including membership £148 difference, am I missing some benefit or other?

Yes,I did consider service levels and claims settlements when I was reviewing the market as this is a very important consideration in the insurance mix.

I was very impressed with all if the telephone conversations that I had with Caravan Guard staff who were fully conversant with the terms and conditions of their offer.

I have been insured by RSA for car insurance for the last 25 years and found them a very good and efficient insurer.

I may be a bit biased on RSA as I worked for them for fourty years. The only thing not insured with them is the caravan where the C&CC gave me a far better quote for slightly better cover. Just don't have any big claims as they need to keep paying my pension.

Been waiting since the 27th June for the document "Proof of no claims". Three requests ignored. Yes I'm fully aware the renewal docs show that info but the renewal docs were prepaired 20 days prior to the last day of insurance cover.

It's now 03.09.2016, so much for three promises.

We also had a problem with that when we moved our car insurance away from the Club, the renewal doc only said "NCD:maximum", rather than the actual number of years.

We eventually managed to get something that was acceptable to the new insurer.

As I understand it Devitts arrange the caravan insurance but it is the club who then sell the policy on their behalf. If you check the phone numbers you will see you are ringing the club. Motorhome insurance has a different dialling  code and will be Devitts.
