Hi everyone!

Share your views about our UK Club campsite facilities and earn a cash reward!

We’re partnering with Discovery Research, an independent research agency, to gather some feedback to help us deliver great holidays on UK Club campsites. We love to hear your feedback on likes and dislikes, suggestions for improvements and reactions to new ideas.

We’re now looking for some members to take part in a short online research community to help shape future UK Club campsite facilities.

About the research community:

  • The online community will run 11, 12 and 13 April 2022
  • There will be 3 tasks to be completed - one per day
  • Each task will take approximately 30-45 minutes
  • To help us understand your thoughts, we may ask you to share pictures/ video about the topics we will be discussing
  • By taking part you will earn a thank you cash reward!

To be eligible to take part you must:

  • Have visited a UK Club campsite in the past 12 months
  • Be available to participate 11, 12 and 13 April 2022
  • If you fancy participating and can answer yes to both of the above questions, simply register your interest before before Wednesday 6 April by clicking HERE to complete a short Google form hosted by our trusted partner Discovery Research.

As you’ll appreciate, we need to involve a really good mix of members to ensure we get well-rounded feedback, so whilst we won’t be able to follow up with everyone who registers, we do truly appreciate all interest shown. After registration, if you’ve been selected a Discovery researcher will be in touch with you to confirm your participation.

I just googled ‘camping sans bungalows’ to see if it would fit in with my preferences, that’ll be a resounding NO then-a whole bunch of rickety old beach huts & single tier huts you see on refugee sites. I think it may be an error🤷🏻‍♂️☹️

My pleasure, TDA, and I'll let you in on a secret if you promise not to tell. We're staying in one at this very moment just like the one in the link but with slightly different furniture. Two bedrooms, two bath/shower rooms, outside furniture on the verandah, extremely well equipped with all mod cons. Sleeps up to 4 people for £68 p/n in mid season at member rates. They have a few sites with lodges and one with static caravans, plus bungalows which they let themselves with member discounts unlike CAMC who let theirs through an agency with no concessions whatsoever.

It is very good vfm, especially when our annual membership is only £24😄. Site WiFi is included too and it works!

Well, I did part one of this exercise.

The intro referred to washing/cleaning facilities
and how they could be improved/optimised but the questions were not about that!

they want you to interact with the community, as some of your responses can be seen by others.

The thing went live at about 9.30 this morning, when I completed by bit, mid afternoon, I could see about a dozen others.  Mix of ages, men and women, from various locations, and different years of vanning.

questions began with basic stuff about yourself, location, length of time vanning. They want you do upload a video of yourself talking about your experiences. What annoyed me was there was no way of moving on without doing a video, so I just did a none video and moved on.
questions about what made you take to vanning, your favourite holiday and why, where you would like to go next in an open world, what do you look for from a holiday. This last one irritated me because you had to pick a photo or photos that best illustrated your type of holiday.  They were mainly activity shots e.g. cycling, water sports. None fitted us, but again you can’t move on without picking one. You also described in words your ideal holiday so dont know why they needed the picture!

asked what you looked for from a site. A totally free response here.

Thought about the club as a company/brand - in two descriptive words, and why.

why did you join the club.

how do you think peoples (in general) use of site facilities will change post covid.  Will use revert to pre covid levels.

I haven’t seen much community interaction other than the same two names who I believe to be either club staff, or staff from the research organisation (both are on line)

will see what tomorrow brings.
