A simple question. As the caravan club no longer offer caravan insurance as such what suggestions for a new insurer that does.

Then there are others who will defend it to the hilt no matter how bad the scenario as they cannot see past their rose tinted glasses while wearing blinders.  laughing

Works both ways and if people never complained nothing would be done to improve the service and address shortfalls.

I agree, but then there are those who would ,and do via their posts complain,it seems, because they have no reasoned answer,  and as can been seen on CT then try to swerve the thread away from giving a strait answer to anyone asking for oneundecided

I am unsure, in your case JVB, whether your post was directed at me or a more general comment.

I am very happy with CMC and hence why I have been a member for more than half my lifetime.

I am sure you know what you meant JVB.

There are those that post in complaint (presumably because of some aspect of CMC.

Not sure why they complain about CMC in that case because they themselves do not have a reasoned answer. Do you mean that because they cannot answer a posters question they resort to an attack on CMC?

Is your your belief that they attack CMC rather than answer the other poster's question?

So rather than clarify you decide to post a daft message. I said earlier that comment was free. In your case that is just as well because as cheap as that comment is (even with the value added emoticons) it is worthless to me. Perhaps somebody else appreciates cheap.

They try to  swerve the thread  to try to not come out with a reasoned reply to any posts that they are , as most notice ,on the back foot withwink

This is a quote from a well known insurance companies guide to caravan insurance.

"With touring caravans, it's difficult to be very prescriptive about where they're going to be kept," Ed continues, "But certainly if it's a location where there's a history of flooding, you should check your policy documents carefully to ascertain if your caravan is still covered."
So whilst the vast majority of the UK is open for touring caravanners to explore, a certain level of caution is recommended when looking at a riverside pitch."

Presumably because this unknown company profess to give great cover

For what its worth, my existing Club policy is to be renewed in the coming week or so. Having spent well over an hour on the phone to the club and Devitts this morning I can honestly say the status of my existing policy and anything I may get in two weeks is now a mystery.

I am sceptical about the present debacle.

I do not understand why the club has all but dumped the caravan insurance customers, but retained Motorhome, Camprevan, car etc Insurance customers. I know what my "gut feeling" is telling me.
